Scientists from the University of Shanghai have created a battery in the shape of threads that could be woven together with materials such as wool or nylon to form garments where the battery would not be distinguished from the clothing itself.
In the first tests, a thread of these characteristics, 10 cm long and weighing only 0.08 grams, has been able to power a series of LEDs for one minute.
Like all new technology, the researchers warn that for now they are aware of the low capacity of these batteries and the high cost of bringing them to market. But little by little.
via The battery of the future you will also dress it, like your gadgets.
