As part of its strategy to resurrect all those users whose accounts remain inactive, Yahoo has just announced that, from now on, it will no longer be possible to log into its services from Google and Facebook profiles, something that was possible before.
In 2010 and 2011, the company decided to implement the login in some of its services, such as Flickr, from accounts belonging to other platforms, to enhance its use, as part of a plan designed by its then CEO, Carol Bartz.
However, the new drift that the company has taken since the arrival of CEO Marissa Mayer has established that this was not beneficial for it and that from now on, it will be necessary to have a Yahoo! username and password to enjoy certain services. It is about rekindling the interest of Yahoo users in the personalized experience that the company is able to offer them through their own login.
via Yahoo will no longer let its users log in from Google and Facebook | TICbeat.
