Windows Phone loses market during the second quarter …

IDC has released its report on the state of the smartphone market for the second quarter and according to its data, Windows Phone only has 2.5% of the market, being 0.9% less compared to 2013 (3.4%). 7.4 million were the number of smartphones sent worldwide, while last year in the same period 8.2 million were sent.

Android remains the undisputed market leader, having shipped 255.3 million units worldwide. With this figure, Android has 84.7% of the current market, and compared to last year it has grown by 33.3%.

Below is iOS, which has shipped 35.2 million units around the globe, taking 11.7% of the market. Compared to last year they have grown by 12.7%.
