WhatsApp, the most used messaging application in the world, announced a new update which will integrate two new functions called “forwarding information” and “frequent forwarding”, in which details will be provided on how many times a message has been forwarded, helping with this to reduce the famous false news or fake news.
However, it is important to note that when these new features are enabled, they will only be available for messages sent by the same user, as they will be able to access “forwarding information” and “frequent forwarding” on messages shared by the same user. .
If you want to know how many times an external message that you have received has been shared, first of all you must forward it and there you will be able to know the number of times it was distributed.
With this, WhatsApp aims to help users with information by warning when a message is very “popular” within the application, since if so, it may contain incorrect, false or spam information.
However, the date on which these new functions will be enabled is not yet clear, since the developers of the application itself would still be working on them.
