A few weeks ago Seagate announced the launch of a new hard drive with a capacity of 8 TB. Well, it seems that its most direct competitor, Western Digital, already has an even bigger model, with no less than 10 TB.
The disk has been developed by the company HGSTU, belonging to Western Digital, and uses HelioSeal technology to fill the interior of the disk, improving consumption and reducing the internal temperature of the device by up to 5 degrees compared to a conventional hard disk.
This technology also allows to reduce the humidity in the interior and to couple up to 7 data plates per disk, thanks to which it is possible to reach those 10 TB.
via Western Digital you have your new 10 TB hard drive ready.
