The operator Vodafone has revealed today in an extensive report that many governments in the 29 countries in which it operates have direct access to its communications network. This access allows you to collect customer metadata and even the content of the conversations itself. The problem is that in most cases government agencies do not even need specific legal permission to obtain the data. It is an open bar for the espionage of citizens.
This is the first transparency report published by a global operator such as Vodafone.
