The well-known processor manufacturer has for some time maintained a project that seemed quite solid aimed at the development of a home multimedia console but it seems that after not coming to fruition with its hypothetical “IntelTV” it has found a way to at least make so much effort profitable: selling it to a mobile phone operator.
Intel itself has confirmed the sale of its smart TV project to Verizon and although the specific details have not been made public, the total amount of the operation is estimated at around 500 million dollars.
