The general commander of the Military Aviation of Venezuela, Major General Eutimio José Criollo Villalobos, reported on the acquisition of new weapons systems to replace the Rockwell OV-10 Bronco tactical support aircraft, according to a press release from the air component. .
The OV-10 Bronco system, of North American manufacture, has been operating with the Venezuelan Air Force for more than forty years. In 1972, sixteen new factory aircraft of the E version were acquired, and in 1991, eighteen more of the A version, surpluses from the United States Armed Forces, specifically the US Marine Corps.
