Twitter, the ‘microblogging’ network, announced yesterday the purchase of SnappyTV, a service that allows you to record, edit and share videos through the messaging platform. The deal, the terms of which have not been disclosed, will help Twitter reinforce its efforts to be more visually appealing as it strives to grow its user base.
SnappyTV will be integrated into Twitter Amplify, a product of the company that serves the media to distribute video through the platform.
As a Twitter spokesperson, Baljeet Singh, wrote on a company blog, SnappyTV “is already used extensively by brands and our media partners to share video clips on Twitter.”
