Those responsible for Twitch, the popular video game streaming platform, have left a brief but worrying message on their blog. According to what we can read in it, there have been unauthorized accesses to the data of some of its users.
The company has decided to reset the passwords of all the accounts and disconnect the authorizations to Twitter and YouTube from Twitch. This means that the next time you want to enter Twitch, you will get a warning prompting you to create a new password. Once this is done, you will have to reconnect your account to social networks if you wish.
In the statement they advise that you change your password on other pages or services in case it is the same that you were using on Twitch or similar to prevent the thing from going further. In addition to this, Twitch is directly contacting those users whose data has been affected.
via Twitch confirms unauthorized access to its users’ data and resets passwords.
