Alejandro Mercado, Armando Silva and Omer Faruk Erdem are no more than 15 years old, they are in their third year of high school and from April 8 to 11 they will be participating in the World Robotics Olympics for high school youth to be held in Russia.
The boys study at the Los Riscos school in Terrezas of the Club Hípico in Caracas, and since the beginning of the school year they will prepare intensely for this competition where they will be measured with other young people from more than 20 countries, including Mexico, Turkey. , Ecuador, Iran, Peru and the United States to name some of the participating nations.
Professors Gonzalo Fernández and Julio César Arismendi are the ones who instill the knowledge of robotics in the boys. The subject is an extracurricular subject and is given three times a week for three hours in the afternoons.
