In this World Cup in Brazil, which would be very strange if you did not realize that it has begun, a technology is attracting attention: Goal-Control 4D.
This technology has already been applied in a match, specifically yesterday’s match between France and Honduras. In the 50th minute of the game, after a play by Frenchman Benzema, the Honduras Valladares goalkeeper put the ball into his own goal. The play could have resulted in one of those fateful phantom goals, but this time the technology was ready to warn the referee so much (to the joy of the audience at the Estadio Beira-Rio stadium) that the ball, whether it looked like it or not , had completely crossed the goal line. So much for France and technology.
via The cameras no longer just monitor the player: this is the technology that avoids the phantom goal.
