Telegram implements its own protocol, MTProto, which transmits messages securely between our mobile and the server. It even allows you to create secure chats between two clients, in such a way that not even Telegram’s servers can see what you are sending. Now, how does it work? In this article we are going to explain what Telegram security consists of.
Basically and broadly, Telegram encrypts messages in a simple way: it is encrypted with a key and decrypted on the other side with that same key. As the messages are encrypted, someone who is spying on our mobile traffic will not know what we are talking about with our friends.
