This Friday, May 15, the allocation of places will be published through the 2015 National University System, an automated platform created by the State to guarantee entry to the country’s study houses.
It is a free and compulsory process for students in the last year of secondary education, high school graduates and graduates, either from a Venezuelan university or from the Ribas Mission, interested in being part of a public or private institution.
The registration, which began in January 2015 and which completed the process of modifying the career options or National Training Program (PNF) between April 29 and May 10, will make the run this Friday with the allocation of quotas.
In total, 486,179 young people interested in continuing their university studies in the national territory were registered.
It is a transparent process, which seeks to universalize the right to study in Venezuelan universities, as explained by the Vice President for Planning and Knowledge, Ricardo Menéndez.
How did the system operate? According to information published on the website of the Ministry for University Education, Science and Technology, the system operated as follows:
In the case of being a student in the last year of General Secondary Education, Technical Secondary Education and Ribas Mission, the following requirements had to be met:
1− Provide an email address to the person in charge of the campus. 2 – The person in charge at the educational institute loaded the grades from 1st to 4th year into the system. 3- Then, the student had to receive an email with the password to enter the SNI. 4- To validate the information, the young person had to enter the system through the web portal http://ingreso.opsu.gob.ve/. 5 – Select the six career options or PNF or the Get Certified link, if you did not want to opt for a career or PNF. 6− Save the information.
If it was a high school graduate who had never participated in the process, they should follow these steps:
1− Enter the system through http://ingreso.opsu.gob.ve/ 2− Create an account: register identity card or passport number and email address. 3 − The young man should receive an email with the password to enter. 4− Bring the original notes and show them at the nearest validation center. 5− Once validated, you should receive an email indicating that the student could enter the platform. 6 – Select the six career options or National Training Program (NFP), or in the link to Certify if you did not want to include a career or NFP. 7− Save the information.
If the person had participated in previous processes, they could directly enter the system and follow these steps:
1− Register the identity card or passport number and email. Then I received a password to enter. 2− Review the grades uploaded from 1st to 4th year of high school. 3- Select the six career options or NFP or the Get Certified link, if you did not want to include a degree or NFP. 4− Save the information.
