Beyond trying to maintain good taste within their facilities, several museums in Paris, France seek to ban the use of selfie sticks as a preventive action to protect both the artistic works on display and the users themselves.
Selfie sticks have become a popular accessory for more consumer-friendly self-portraits.
As reported by The Telegraph, The Palace of Versailles is the first museum that has directly commissioned its guards to warn visitors not to use these devices to prevent accidental damage to a valuable element of the property.
