The US Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announced that they have successfully tested the information exchange technology between the Earth and the Moon at a speed comparable to that of conventional Wi-Fi.
Researchers from NASA and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) completed the Lunar Laser Communication Demonstration (LLCD) mission, and now the Moon could also have a wireless Internet connection.
The US space agency reported that the LLCD lasted 30 days and was aimed at testing the promising possibilities of laser broadband to transmit information across the 384,633 kilometers that separate the Moon from the Earth, and even along greater distances.
via Noticias de Prensa Latina – They manage to transmit and receive mega data from and to the Moon.
