Experts from the University of Indiana have just announced a very critical security flaw. The vulnerability appears to take advantage of the OS update process. During these kinds of processes, thousands of files are removed and replaced, each with specific attributes and privileges within the phone system itself. Experts say that at the time of the update, a bug dubbed Pileup would allow malicious applications to insert themselves into the computer silently. It would be then when from remote servers, users could see their most intimate and personal information stolen. The vulnerability would be affecting all versions of Android that are now on the market.
