They create a self-destructing SSD drive

October 4, 2014

The company SecureDrives has launched on the market two models of SSD disks (a type of disk that uses non-volatile memory instead of turntables, as happens in traditional hard drives) that can be programmed to self-destruct.

It looks like something out of a James Bond or Mission Impossible movie but it is a real product that emphasizes safety. Of course, it is not economical.

Autothysis128s is the name of the 2.5-inch size disk that can be managed through a mobile application, available on Android and iOS. The disk has a variety of settings to ensure that the information stored there does not reach unauthorized hands.
