240 second-grade students of Basic Education from two schools in the municipality of Independencia, Yaracuy, received laptops from the Canaima Educativo program on Thursday, which in the entity registers more than 72,000 units delivered.
Ronald López, from the ICT Information and Communication Technologies Coordination of the Educational Zone, reported that 118 Canaimitas were delivered in the Adolfo Navas Coronado Bolivarian Comprehensive School and 122 in the Independencia School Group.
He pointed out that for the period 2014 – 2015 it is estimated to deliver 24,000 computers, of which 6,000 will be tablets for students in the fourth, fifth and sixth years of General and Technical High School.
The next delivery, planned in the joint programming developed by the Ministry of Education and the Compañía Anónima Telefonos de Venezuela Cantv, as the equipment supplier, will be held next week in the Peña municipality.
