The technological evolution of today’s society has caused many people to use electronic devices continuously and be in constant contact with screens of all kinds. The facilities provided by these devices have made their consumption spread over time.
According to a survey by the US National Sleep Foundation, technological devices often use backlit screens capable of activating areas of the brain that alter the quality of sleep. Experts warn of sleep disturbances and even episodes of nightmares. In many cases, it can lead to insomnia or small interruptions, called parasomnia.
Also, according to Europa Press, it can cause young people to have a poor performance in their studies by not being able to rest as necessary and generate attention problems. Another consequence that experts warn about is increasing hyperactivity.
