HTC has just officially announced the HTC One mini 2. As it did last year, the company has again chosen to present a compact model of its flagship smartphone, the One M8. It maintains (almost) the same design line, with a 4.5-inch screen, compared to the 5 of the M8, but eliminates one of the main functions of its older brother: the double rear camera.
HTC has returned to bet on the same strategy of last year: keep the iconic design of the One M8 but go down a notch in specifications. Regarding the first, the design, the metal body is maintained at the back, but now the mini 2 has a plastic frame on the front that serves as a union with the rest of the body of the phone. It is something similar to what it did in 2013 with the first version of the mini, although now the plastic seems to take more space.
On the spec front, the One mini 2 features a 4.5-inch 1280 x 720 pixel resolution screen, meaning it falls short of the M8’s Full HD (326 dpi versus its brother’s 440 dpi). higher).
