The consumption of ‘streaming’ – a system that allows the consumption of video on the Internet in parallel to the download – is almost at the same level as that of conventional television, according to a study carried out by Ericsson Consumer Lab based on more than 23,000 interviews’ online ‘in 23 countries.
Thus, 75% of viewers watch streaming content several times a week, compared to 77% who watch television programs broadcast on conventional networks. According to this report, 19% of viewers would also agree to pay to access their favorite content from any device, which represents a 25% increase over two years.
