Bad start to the week for Telefónica. In Spain, the National Commission of Markets and Competition (CNMC) has imposed on the company two important fines considered “very serious”, worth 250,000 euros each. The first one is applied for not having duly notified the Movistar ADSL and Movistar TV Familiar offers over ADSL before offering them to customers. And it is that Telefónica has the obligation to communicate to the CNMC the prices and conditions of its new services with a minimum of one month in advance before its commercialization (so that equality with the rest of the operators is guaranteed), something that, in the case of the aforementioned promotions did not occur.
via Telefónica fined half a million euros for “very serious” competition infringements.
