Apple, Facebook, Microsoft, and Google will notify users of government requests to access their personal information. The four “giants” of technology follow in the footsteps of Yahoo, which already took this measure in 2013. This tendency of the technology giants to alert about the surveillance of information by the authorities has a lot to do with the leaks of the former -A technician of the US National Security Agency, NSA, Edward Snowden, on a massive surveillance program that the US Government has been carrying out.
