After months and months of rumors, Sony has presented its commitment to virtual reality at the Game Developers Conference. The president of Sony Computer Entertainment, Shuhei Yoshida, has been the one who has shown the headset and has revealed its first details, among which is not the price.
It’s called Project Morpheus, it offers 1080p resolution, 1000Hz refresh, 90-degree field of view, and is capable of registering full 360-degree motion rotation. The prototype that has been shown includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, three-dimensional audio and follows the movement and orientation of the head thanks to the PlayStation camera. In addition to being compatible with the DualShock 4 control and with PS Move, it integrates a processor capable of reproducing the content on a normal screen so that other people can see what the user experiences.
