Samsung has surprised all the attendees at its ‘Unpacked 2014’ event with the presentation of a new terminal called Galaxy Note Edge. It is a device in the style of the Galaxy Note 4, but with a curved screen to show notifications.
The terminal of the Corenana brand will have a 5.6-inch Quad HD Super Amoled screen with a resolution of 2,560 × 1440 screen pixels, plus 160 pixels on the side of the screen. It will have a 2.7 GHz Quad-Core processor and will run on Android 4.4 KitKat. The phone supports LTE, 3G and 2.5G networks and with WiFi connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, USB 2.0, MHL 3.0 and infrared sensor. The Galaxy Note Edge will have an internal memory of 32 or 64 GB expandable with MicroSD card and 3GB of RAM.
As for the camera, it will have a 16-megapixel rear with Auto Focus system and a 3.7-megapixel front. The phone will also feature an accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, Hall sensor, and fingerprint reader. The phone will come with a 3,000 mAh battery and will measure 151.3 × 82.4 × 8.3mm and weigh 174 grams.
The presentation also featured the Note 4 tablet, the Gear S smart watch and the Gear VR virtual reality headset
