The quarterly security updates scheduled for July 15 do not cover Microsoft’s operating system. There is no official announcement in this regard, but in a FAQ published on the official website, the end of official support for the operating system is indicated as a reason for such a decision.
Microsoft decided to retire Windows XP when it still had – and still has – a significant user base. Oracle is doing the same: About four out of five Windows XP users use Java, ZDNet reports. Beyond percentages, we are talking about millions of users.
