Office 365 Video relies on SharePoint and Azure Media Services technologies to function. It has been defined by its creators as “the first of many NextGen Portals” that they plan to launch for their online office suite and that would have “a beautiful user interface and intuitive content management options”.
Apparently, to upload a video it will only be necessary to “drag and drop” the element, give it a name “and let the service take care of the rest”, copying it in different resolutions to adapt to the circumstances of streaming playback. Supported file types include H.264, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, VC-1, WMV, and DV.
Office 365 Video also aims to facilitate search tasks, take advantage of the social potential that comes from sharing content through Yammer, be mobile compatible and allow user authorization, assigning them custom permissions. Microsoft ensures that the entire process is encrypted to ensure your security.
via Office 365 Video will allow workers to share video files securely.
