The problem affects non-jailbroken iPhones and iPads running iOS 7.0.4, 7.0.5, and 7.0.6, in addition to those running 6.1.x. Apparently, the exploit uses resources provided by iOS for apps that run in the background, such as music for example. By operating in this way, they have access to what the user presses on the keyboard or buttons. Thus, an app that pretends to do one thing could at the same time be capturing information in the background and sending it to people with bad intentions.
Researchers recommend disabling untrustworthy apps that have background functions until Apple releases an update to resolve this issue.
