The Sony A7s features a 35-millimeter full-frame or full-frame sensor, which has a total resolution of 12.2 megapixels. The sensor measures 35.6 x 23.8 millimeters and is an Exmor CMOS type. The company has reduced the number of pixels in order to achieve higher sensitivity and capture more light. The maximum sensitivity is no less than ISO 409,600, so you will be able to obtain images in very low light situations. It has a Bionz processor with a noise reduction system, although at such high sensitivities it is impossible to avoid its appearance. The autofocus system is by contrast and is based on 25 points. It also has a 3-inch screen on the rear that has 921,600 pixels and is articulable, although its movements are limited to 90 degrees vertically and 45 degrees horizontally.
This model allows you to record images in 4K QFHD quality, or what is the same, with a size of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. With this setup, an external device can be used to store videos via an HDMI cable. The most interesting thing is that when recording 4K the entire surface of the sensor is used without any type of clipping on the image. The Sony A7s also records in FullHD (60/30 / 24fps) directly to a compatible memory card and also allows recording in slow motion (120 fps) if we lower the quality to HD720p.
