Xiaomi announces a pair of Mi Smart PTZ cameras. The two new surveillance cameras include the Xiaomi Mi PTZ smart camera and the PTZ Pro variant. The cameras are part of the Chinese tech giant’s smart home appliances and essentially serve as security cameras in users’ homes. That is, they can be used to monitor your home remotely or even inform you about trespassing in the worst case.
Starting with the Mi PTZ smart camera, it features a 3MP camera with an aperture of f / 1.4. The device supports low light recording and video is also captured in full color. One notable aspect of this version is that it supports 2K recording. In other words, you can capture video with higher fidelity, allowing you to capture more details. The device has a 6P lens and can offer a 360-degree field of view as it is able to rotate.
The Xiaomi Mi PTZ Pro Smart Camera
This is the highest version of the series. A notable inclusion in this version is that it has more Bluetooth gateway features and also supports dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz + 5GHz). It also features the same 3MP camera with AI human detection and a 360-degree field of view through a panoramic sweep.
The standard Mi PTZ smart camera is priced at 199 yuan, which translates to roughly US $ 28. On the other hand, the Mi Smart Camera PTZ Pro will retail for 249 yuan, or roughly US $ 35. Security cameras are currently available for pre-booking and can be found on Xiaomi’s official website in China.
