Free license for manufacturers who wish to access the market with mobile devices that use Windows Phone as the operating system. It is Microsoft’s offer to a very specific group of manufacturers, those who assemble their mobiles in India, one of the most dynamic markets with the greatest growth projection together with neighboring China.
At least two Indian manufacturers, Lava and Karbonn, will benefit from this significant decision by the company led by Satya Nadella. So far both brands market Android devices but in the coming months they will also incorporate smartphones and tablets with Windows Phone into their catalogs in a clever move that will increase the share of this OS in India since it is also about marketing terminals at affordable prices.
