The boom experienced in recent years by tablets and smartphones has caused the traditional PC market to contract steadily. Faced with this reality, the COO, or director of operations of Microsoft, Kevin Turner, admitted that Microsoft only has 14% of the most relevant market, that is, “the world of devices” despite the fact that its share of the PC market continues being 90%.
