Researchers at Washington State University in Spokane have developed a new way to detect drowsiness at the wheel, a low-cost system that detects fatigue at the wheel.
The technology, which has already been patented, is based on the movements of the steering wheel, which are more variable in tired drivers. The aim is to offer an affordable and reliable alternative to current devices based on the detection of driver drowsiness.
