Do we believe all the images we see in the press on a daily basis? Are they a true reflection of the reality they are trying to portray? We all know that photojournalism is going through a difficult time, not so much because of the crisis of the traditional media, but because credibility is more in question than ever.
A lot of damage has been done to embarrassing examples in the past, and it’s easy to find blunders every day thanks to misuse of Photoshop. The editing and treatment of the images is necessary, no one escapes that this is part of the photographic process. But where is the limit? How far is it allowed to edit in the informative image?
