Leading PC manufacturer Lenovo is in talks to purchase IBM Server Business, IBM’s business server business. The agreement could materialize in a matter of weeks, according to a person with knowledge of the matter and Bloomberg picks up.
The source, who prefers not to be identified since the negotiations are private, assures that Lenovo has completed the relevant procedures. The meetings between the two houses have been taking place since last year, but the parties did not reach an agreement on the purchase price. Assets are estimated to be worth between $ 2.5 billion and $ 4.5 billion.
