Toyota is the leading producer of automobiles in the market and has chosen to turn to IBM for an alliance that it hopes will help it improve the connectivity of its vehicles.
This announcement from IBM follows in the footsteps of Google, with its Open Auto Alliance, and other ICT companies in the market that have a presence in the automotive world, such as Apple, BlackBerry or Microsoft.
The idea of the blue giant with Toyota is to build a platform for the development of applications that allows the creation of on-board navigation systems and apps based on the Toyota Open Vehicle architecture.
