Huawei’s total sales increased 20 percent in 2014 compared to the previous year, driven by a 32 percent increase in smartphone sales, according to the Financial Times. Its revenue grew to $ 47 billion.
Huawei’s consumer business group, which includes phones, has been the company’s fastest growing branch. Huawei became the world’s third-largest smartphone maker in the third quarter of 2014, according to research firm Garner.
For Strategy Analytics Huawei ranked fifth while for the IDC research group the Chinese company is behind Xiaomi, Lenovo and LG.
