HP bets on Android laptops with its Slatebook PC

In this Android-based laptop it is based on an NVIDIA Tegra 4 SoC with 2 GB of RAM and up to 64 GB of internal storage. The screen offers a 1080p resolution and the thickness of the equipment is 16 mm, while its weight is 1.6 kg. The design of the device is attractive thanks to the contrast between black and a striking yellow on the case and some elements of the hinge. By the way: the team also integrates Beats Audio technology in its speakers.

The funny thing is that this team should theoretically be based on Chrome OS -HP has also presented Chromebooks with this proposal-, but those responsible for the firm seem to trust Android as a valid alternative for certain users.

In fact, one thing is obvious: the catalog of software available on Android is exceptional, and the pure web applications (and not pages or web services converted to applications) that Chrome OS defends may not be as interesting for part of the market.

via HP believes that Android makes sense in laptops, and it proves it with its new Slatebook PC.
