The hot air balloon that was found 70 kilometers from Las Heras (Santa Cruz, Argentina) belongs to Google and not to NASA, as had been initially thought.
The directors of the computer giant have commented that the device did not fall but landed pre-medically.
From its headquarters in Argentina, they have confirmed to the Austral news agency that the balloon, launched in New Zealand, is part of a pilot test of the “Loon Project” whose purpose is to offer Wi-Fi connection through balloons.
