The idea is simple, Google, Amazon and Apple study which are the main developers and their titles, they offer them a special place in their respective stores – greater visibility -, in exchange for periods of exclusivity. Apple is said to have carried out this operation with titles such as “Plants Vs. Zombies 2” and “Cut the Rope,” by EA and ZeptoLab.
Not all cases come to fruition. Major production companies like Gameloft are also negotiating their titles with the owners of the department stores. Names like Asphalt have been able to enter into exclusivity agreements with Apple, but then they decided that they should be on all platforms at the same time.
