USB-C is probably the port of the future. Its introduction first in the Nokia N1 (although “capped” at 5 Gbps), then in the MacBook and yesterday in the new Chromebook Pixel demonstrate the interest of the first manufacturers for this type of connectivity, but it is also that Google confirms their bet by this standard in a recently posted video.
In that video, those responsible for Google make clear the advantages of the two ports of the new Pixel (which yes, it also includes two USB 3.0 ports in case the flies), but they also close those comments with a strong statement of intent: «We will see this [USB-C] on a lot of Chromebooks and Android phones in the near future. “
