Flights between Aruba and Venezuela resumed on Saturday after the South American country suspended them following the arrest of a Venezuelan official, the highest-ranking official ever to have been arrested following a US court order.
Aruba Justice Minister Arthur Dowers told The Associated Press on Saturday that he met for several hours with Venezuelan Deputy Foreign Minister Federico González to discuss the issue.
Dowers said it raised concerns about the hundreds of people stranded in Aruba and Venezuela as a result of the order.
