Although Facebook as a company has already passed its first decade of existence, to date, an aspect as basic as properly managing the accounts of deceased users remained unresolved. Now, and finally, it will allow you to designate a series of contacts to take care of it.
In other words, and as the company has officially confirmed, Facebook will optionally allow a “legacy contact” to be designated. A person who, in the event that our death is certified (a series of previous steps is necessary) will take possession of our account and can perform various actions on it, ranging from completely deactivating it to changing the profile image and writing in our wall an obituary.
