The quota for electronic purchases was reduced from 400 dollars to 300 dollars a year, according to the provisions of the National Center for Foreign Trade, published in the Extraordinary Official Gazette No. 6,122, dated Thursday, January 24, 2014, which circulates this Friday.
The ruling on the procedures for obtaining foreign currency for the payment of consumption abroad specifies that the Foreign Exchange Administration Commission may authorize a maximum amount of 3,000 dollars per year, deducting from that amount what is approved for electronic commerce requests, cash for trips abroad and credit card for consumption outside the country. Only the application for cash for children and adolescents is waived.
