Asus would have been pressured by Google and Microsoft to remove dual-boot Android and Windows devices. Goodbye to combining both platforms under the same device.
Asus is not going to launch the Asus Transformer Duet TD300 (which, in fact, was expected in the middle of this year and was going to be launched at a fairly competitive price). This withdrawal of the product, according to WSJ sources, is due to the double pressure exerted by both Microsoft and Google. Those of Redmond only want to see 100% Windows devices on the market, no hybrids that contain an operating system that competes directly; in fact, to make this rejection even more obvious, it seems that they will not support devices with this type of configuration. It seems that Google is not far behind either, those of Mountain View do not look favorably on these devices and, logically, they also aspire to 100% Android devices.
