The general coordinator of the Community Learning Center for the Rights of Children and Adolescents (Cecodap), Fernando Pereira, reported that they are constantly addressing not only the issue of bullying, but also Cyberbullying through the workshops they teach throughout the country; Well, “there is no public or private school in large or small cities, where they do not report cases of cyberbullying to us.”
Cyberbullying or school cyberbullying is penalized in Venezuela depending on the severity of the act. Pereira, coordinator of Cecodap, pointed out that parents should file a complaint with the Cicpc -department of computer crimes- or with the Prosecutor’s Office, who must act and investigate with technical expertise who is making such information public.
It is important to note that it is the tendency of the perpetrator to erase that information that he has disclosed through social networks, so it is very important that the victim keep all that information or image that can serve as evidence, so that cyberbullying can be verified by the authorities.
The use of technology is something natural at this time for all people, however, for children and young people who have had access to such technology, it is also becoming natural for them to exercise violence or control over other children through networks social.
