The State Telecommunications Company of Cuba, SA (Etecsa) denied rumors that the government will soon authorize Internet access from home to private users.
In an Explanatory Note taken up today in digital media on the island, Etecsa said that for a few days the “false news” of the implementation of Internet access from homes has circulated in different press organs outside of Cuba.
News portals in the United States indicated a few days ago that the Cuban authorities would authorize their citizens in the coming months the private connection from their homes, at very high prices.
