The recent phenomenon among mobile games, Flappy Bird, could cease to exist in the next few hours. The game’s creator, Dong Nguyen, noted in a cryptic tweet that “I can’t take this anymore,” suggesting that he has had some sort of personal problem with the app’s success.
Sorry Flappy Bird users, in 22 hours, I’ll be retiring Flappy Bird. I can’t take this anymore, ”says Nguyen’s message. In another message, he clarifies that “this is not related to legal matters. I just can’t go on. I won’t sell Flappy Bird either, please don’t ask me. And I still play games, ”he said.
Flappy Bird was released in May 2013 for iOS, however it became a phenomenon in early 2014 when it was released for Android.
