The Chinese authorities have confirmed this Tuesday the opening of an investigation into the American computer giant, Microsoft, for possible monopolistic practices.
Chinese government inspectors made several surprise visits to the company’s offices in the cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu on Monday.
These take place two months after the communist regime announced the prohibition of the new Windows 8 operating system in all the computers of official institutions in the country, for fear of security flaws.
